Two years ago today, I woke up before my husband. The sun was peeking through the shades of the hotel window, hinting at another hot summer day in Washington, DC. Only a week or so before, we’d been in an awful and scary car accident that left our car totaled, my husband’s ribs broken, and my… Continue reading The BFP of 2014
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Check it out! Another “Year in Review”…the second for this blog. You know what that means, right? I’ve blogged for a whole year on the same blog! Okay, so, maybe I took a hiatus after the birth of my son for a few months there…but, still, I’ve tried hard to get back… Continue reading Round Two: “My Year in Review”
My mother stayed at home with me and my brother as much as she could while we were young children. She was a SAHM until I turned two, and then my brother was born. My cousin was born in the years between us and she started babysitting him, too. When I started preschool at the age of… Continue reading This Isn’t How I Pictured It
I really didn’t intend to write a post today. This morning—as I alternated between packing my lunch and pumping equipment for work, and playing with my nearly 8-month-old son playing on the floor—I reminded my husband that it was October 15th. Sometimes, pretty cool and amazing things happen when you least expect them. A year and a half ago, I created an anonymous blog and associated Twitter account in an attempt to dig myself out of a depression following my second miscarriage. I was desperate to find comfort in others who could relate, as the majority… Continue reading A New Adventure
In some alternate reality, I’m a mother of a one-year-old. Grief is strange. It’s unpredictable. It never fully goes away, but comes in waves that just get spaced further apart over time. Grief changes. On the heels of finding out I was pregnant for the third time, I felt closure on July 6th, 2014—the estimated due… Continue reading Happy Birthday, Little One ♥
This is probably the first and only time I’ll post from my iPhone. I’m not a fan of mobile posting, but we really are that busy! I am 39 weeks pregnant today. Tomorrow—in about twelve hours or so, to be exact—pregnant will no longer be a word to define me. As I said last week,… Continue reading Final Pregnancy Update: 39 Weeks
Okay…38 weeks pregnant today. The last week flew by. Lots to catch y’all up on (if you only follow the blog and not any other form of social media), so let’s get started.
No doubt about it now, folks—I am full term. Today, I am amazed to say I am 37 weeks pregnant with my third pregnancy overall and, it would very very well appear, my first viable pregnancy. ‘Scuse my French, but holy fucking shitballs.
